Capitol Hill Couple seek a rental house for the Afghan soldier and his family with whom they have a "very special relationship". Their lives are interconnected!
We received a call today from a Capitol Hill Mom who told us she was going to Dulles today to meet the Afghan SIV (and his family) who had saved her husband's life when he was in Afghanistan. She became very emotional as she spoke about meeting him for the first time. They managed to reach the airport and get on a plane to States only a few days ago. If they had remained in Kabul, they would have been at great risk. Now she is looking for temporary housing for the family of six. Anyone know of a house they could use temorarily on Capitol Hill? It would be a privilege to host this brave man and his family in our community. They need a furnished house or large apartment for 3 months. Donors have raised some monies for rent... but a modest price would be much appreciated to have them located near the local Capitol Hill family who are so grateful for his courage and protection. Contact us though the web-site and we will make the link.
