Partners In Refugee Resettlement
Lutheran Social Services National Capitol Area
LSSNCA is one of the three authorized resettlement agencies in the DMV area. GNCH is an implementing partner for LSS. in 2015, GNCH fully sponsored a family from Afghanistan designated to us by LSS, and we continue to maintain contact with them. The many apartments we furnish are at the request of LSS for their assigned families. LSS has a staff of case workers and administrators who handle the initial orientation of new refugees, immigrants and asylum seekers. These professionals assist them in finding housing, registering with state agencies for social services and education, arrange for baseline medical exams and vaccinations, as well as identifying employment opportunities.
