We Welcome Volunteers to Help Us Furnish Apartments for New Arrivals!
Apartment #178 has been our focus this week. An Afghan family of 7 moved here from Wyomning in order to be closer to family. In these difficult times, families who are able to arrive in this country now want to create home closer to those who they feel a sense of security living nearby. So a resettlement is often what GNCH is providing for these families. Please write to tell us you want to volunteer and we'ill send you the Volunteer Form. Once you complete and return the form, you will be included in our Volunteer data base to receive information.
We're always seeking bunk beds. If you have beds in great condition, or other items for donation, please contact us!
Other ways you can help us:
1. GIK Donations in good condition for apartment set-ups
4. Donate for purchase of groceries and essential household items
Urgent Update :
The President has signed Executive Orders terminating Temporary Protective Status for humanitarian parolees. This is terrible news for that vulnerable group and there is no longer any transition asssistance for any refugees... even those holding Special Immigration Visas who were promised a secure transition to the United States when they agreed to serve our armed forces and embassy or other US humanitarian organizations. Now they are left without resource or support from our government.
